What are DnD dice and why are they essential?
A set of DnD dice usually consists of 7 dice: d4, d6, d8, d10, d12, d20, and a percentile d10 (d%). Together, they form the core of every Dungeons & Dragons adventure. Whether you’re making an attack, determining loot, or rolling a saving throw, your dice decide your fate.
Each die has its own role in the game. The d20 is used most often — to hit, dodge, or persuade. The other dice determine damage, effects, or randomness. A well-chosen dice set perfectly matches your character and playstyle.

🔹 What is a D60 or D100?
In addition to the classic 7-piece DnD dice sets, some players and collectors also use special dice like a D60 or D100.
The D60 is sometimes used in homebrew rules or loot rolls for added variety.
The D100 (or “percentile die”) can be used to determine exact probabilities — for example with critical fumbles, magical effects, or wild magic.
Although a D100 is usually simulated with two D10s (one for tens, one for units), having a real 100-sided die in your collection is something special. Many collectors add one as a showpiece or to complete their set.
